About Me

I am back to blogging! I started blogging about my wedding when I first got engaged but that didn't last too long with all the busy wedding planning! Now that life is more "steady" I can begin to blog again! I was recently inspired to begin blogging again when I saw a friend of mines new blog.

Blogging is a fun way to connect with others and get inspired! So lets connect!

My name is Denise and I am married to an amazing man. He is my lover and my best friend. I am so thankful for our relationship. We don't have any children yet but we do have an eccentric terrier/Chihuahua mix named Norman. His bark is definitely bigger than his bite but once he gets to know you he is sweet and will love you forever.

I am currently a grad student at Seattle University working towards my Masters Degree. I graduate this June and am absolutely ecstatic to be finishing! It has been an amazing journey but I am ready to let the school books collect dust and wipe the dust off my scrapbooks and crafts and begin indulging in creating new things! I love to scrapbook and go to all kinds of vintage shops and recycled clothes stores. If you live in Portland Hawthorne is the place for this! There is something so fulfilling about taking something old and using it again!

Aside from the above listed things my husband and I love to take vacations to warm places (we are going to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico soon!!). We love to picnic all day long when the sun comes out and bundle up to a good movie when its raining. I love the city I live in and am always drawn home to beautiful Portland, OR after vacationing. Although it rains ALOT (especially this year) I don't think there is anywhere else I would rather live. My amazing Solid Rock church community, family, and friends make this the most amazing place to be... not to mention the trendy fashion in Portland! So many fun places to shop!

I am a Jesus follower. I look to him as a model of how I want to live my life: full of love, mercy and grace towards others!

This world has so many wonderful things to offer and to look at life as something new and beautiful rather than old and broken brings new light to simple things!

May you view your life today with a new lens postive and full of love! May you look for the beauty in things.... even dare to look at the beauty in you! Not to the worlds/societies standards, but just as you were created. Beautiful! :)

With Love ~ Denise
