All Things New Sundays - DIY Chalkboard!

I am posting my All Things New Sundays post a day late because I was so busy this weekend and did not have a chance to blog at all.

This week I was inspired to create something with chalkboard paint. I have never used chalkboard paint before so I thought a small project is a great way to start!

I headed over to Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts and picked up some paint and then went to a local thrift store and found a gorgeous silver platter with handles.

I am very pleased with the results!

I specifically picked out a silver platter with handles so that it would be easier to put up on the wall.

I painted a total of three layers of chalkboard paint with at least an hour of dry time in between each coat. This is such an easy project and it was not messy at all! I'm sure it can be done on multiple different types of trays!

I am officially in love with chalkboard paint so I am sure you will see many more projects with it to come!

I hope you are inspired to create something new this week too!
Happy Monday!

<3 Denise

That is so creative. I'm sorry I tossed out an old silver tray now. You know one of those clean up times when you feel as if you have accumulated to much in the way of vintage finds.
Thank you for visiting me and your sweet comments xo
