The them of the Baby Shower was "County French Tea Party" and so most of the ladies came dressed up in their pretty dresses and skirts and we had so much fun celebrating Cori's upcoming baby! She is due in just a few short weeks!

We are all excited to meet her little guy!

DIY - Cake Stand Flower Arrangement

Here is a little DIY floral arrangement that is fun for parties or just as a beautiful table centerpiece in your home. I made this for my friends baby shower last week. Surprisingly it was really easy and the flowers stayed fresh for about four days after making it!

You will need some flowers, floral foam, a cake stand and a pointy object that is about the size of the stems of the flowers you are using:

1. Soak the Floral Foam in cold water until moist.
2. Use the pointy object to poke holes in the foam where you want the flowers to be placed. I found that poking the holes prevents me from wasting a lot of flowers that break when I try to push them into the foam.
3. Use remaining small flowers to fill in the gaps where foam is still showing and do this until the foam is completely covered.

Today is my Monday. I had a nice, long, much needed four day weekend! Planning/attending a baby shower, relaxing, and catching up on lunch dates with my mom was how I spent my weekend. I am sorting through all the baby shower pictures and I am excited to share them with you! I am working on a post this week so they should be up in the next few days.

Happy Tuesday (Monday for me:)!

All Things New Sundays - Mason Jar Makeover

Hello there!
I've been M.I.A yet again because I've been busy planning a dear friends baby shower! Her baby shower was on Saturday and it turned out to be a lovely event! I will share pictures with you in a few days!

The theme of the baby shower was "Country French Tea Party" and here is a little DIY I did using mason jars. I call it the "mason jar makeover" and it was inspired from here.

SUPPLIES:
-Empty mason jars or bottles
-Krylon brand spray on paint
-Newspaper or magazine

In a well ventilated area (preferably outdoors), place mason jars and bottles upside down on the newspaper/magazine:

Generously spray one coat of paint and allow to dry for at least one hour. After an hour or so, generously spray a second and even third coat if needed. Allow the paint to completely dry between each coat. I only did two coats of paint because I was limited on time but I would suggest doing three:

I remembered I had a few empty miscellaneous bottles under my sink and decided to paint those as well for variety

Fill the vases with water and flowers of your liking:

Put them on display <3

I am finally back to blogging! It's been over a week since I've posted or even really had time to catch up on all my favorite daily reads. It has been a very busy week for me at work and also at home. We have been in "serious" house search mode which means we've had appointments to see potential homes almost every night of the week! These pictures were taken last Saturday by my husband in between open houses. I like to call this my comfortable yet presentable home shopping attire.

We still have not found the perfect place we can call home yet, but we are hopeful we will find something soon!

It's now time for me to take a break and do a little catching up on my favorite blogs....

Have a wonderful weekend!
