All Things New Sundays - canvas art

Once again I decided to use chalkboard paint for one of my DIY crafts because it is so easy to use and so awesome! Here is the final result of my latest and favorite project:

SUPPLIES

A large canvas or whatever size you prefer:

I used a large 36 x 48 canvas:

Paint brush, rope string, mini clothespins:

INSTRUCTIONS
After you paint 3 layers on the canvas and it has fully dried, tie the rope string around the canvas and put the pictures up using the clothespins. Be sure to allow at least 1 hour dry time in between each layer of paint:

There is not much to this project, it's pretty simple and straight forward and I just love how it turned out!

The nice thing is that I can always take the pictures, rope string, and writing off and do all kinds of designs on this painted canvas. Once we move into a new home this is probably something I would hang above our bed.

My inspiration for this project came from here and here.

Happy creating!

  22. That is such a cute quote! And a seriously fun way to display pictures. We literally have 0 pictures anywhere in our house, but this is something I'd totally do!

P.S. How's house hunting going? I drove around our neighborhood after our little email convo and only found 2 or 3 houses for sale in our immediate neighborhood : ( Maybe there will be more come Spring? hoping so!
